Semester Programs for Studying Mathematics

• The Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Program held in Budapest, Hungary
  This is a program in English for American and Canadian undergraduates that allows you to spend a semester or year in Budapest. Courses are taugtht in English and taught by leading Hungarian scholars.
  
  
• The Mathematics Advanced Study Semesters at Penn State University
  The MASS program provides a comprehensive, semester-long mathematical environment for a group of talented undergraduate students recruited from throughout the United States. The program is located at Penn State's University Park campus in State College, PA and offers a mutually reinforcing blend of learning and research. MASS is an excellent way to prepare for the research requirements and rigors of graduate school.
  
  
• The Math in Moscow Program in Russia
  This is a semester long program in English aimed at U.S., Canadian, and European undergraduates. It allows participants to study mathematics in Moscow at the Independent University of Moscow (IUM), a small, elite institution of higher learning focusing primarily on mathematics.
  

Note: If you study abroad for more than 21 days and you are a Pell Grant recipient, you can apply for the Gilman Scholarship. This is a need-based scholarship that can provide you with up to an additional $5,000 to assist with your study abroad. You may also wish to contact your financial aid office, study abroad office, or the office of scholarships and grants at your school to see if they can assist you with applying for the Gilman scholarship.
