Welcome!
We are an official Graduate Student Chapter of the American Mathematical Society. Our
purpose is to foster a greater understanding of mathematics, encourage
student activity in research and related mathematical
experiences, and provide a social and intellectual forum for all
students interested in mathematics.
We function as a student organization with student officers and
members, but all of our events are open to the public, and we
welcome participation from everyone.
Education
We promote learning, exploration, and discovery of mathematics. We also help students find and pursue training and opportunities that contribute to their mathematical educations and careers.
Engagement
We hold events to inform, educate, and inspire. We also facilitate interaction among undergrads, graduate students, and faculty to help students form peer networks and connect with mentors.
Community
By organizing and hosting mathematical events, we cultivate a close-knit community of scholars that provides encouragement, camaraderie, and support for all of its members and participants.
